Most global cause awareness days and months stay the same in 2020, as they were in 2019. We found a few new ones to add to the list though! Check out the bold bullets for some fresh ideas.

  1. ME/CFS Awareness Month is May, and International ME Awareness Day is May 12th every year. Details on the May12th.org website. The #MillionsMissing events for ME awareness are also on May 12th.
    August 8th each year is
    Severe ME Awareness Day (severe myalgic encephalomyelitis).

  2. Under May’s dates, please add World AiArthritis Day. It is an International event to raise awareness about AUTOimmune & AUTOinflammatory diseases that include arthritis as a major component in most patients early in onset.

    This is an annual event on May 20th hosted by the International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis but dozens of nonprofits, companies, can community members worldwide participate.

    Can you please add National Sarcoidosis Awareness Month in April. Congress established it in 2008. And Wear Purple and white for Sarcoid Awareness is on April 13, 2020.

  4. In 1961, Congress established National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW) to raise awareness, reduce unintentional poisonings, and promote poison prevention. It is sponsored by the National Poison Prevention Week Council: https://poisonhelp.hrsa.gov/what-you-can-do/poison-prevention-week.

    September is World Sepsis awareness month and September 13th is world Sepsis day. I know this because I am one of two UK ambassadors from here in the U.K. and think it would be important that Medway recognises this and Sepsis is a global killer and by adding this to your website you will be contributing to awareness.     1. Note that September is World Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. The US Alzheimer’s Awareness Month is in November. Thanks for pointing this out.
